Non-Surgical Treatments For Cancer

Treatments that are painless and effective in treating cancer.

We offer the most advanced technologies currently available. Radiation therapy is delivered on two state-of-the-art digital linear accelerators developed by the pioneers in image guided radiation therapy, Elekta Synergy® and Elekta Synergy® S. These accelerators, along with Elekta’s HDR unit, CT simulator and treatment planning system allow delivering the following treatment options, all under one roof.

Skin Brachytherapy
Skin Brachytherapy allows the treatment of skin cancers in a quick, painless, noninvasive way, eliminating the need for surgery.

Intensity Modulated Radiation Therapy (IMRT)
Intensity-modulated radiation therapy (IMRT) is an advanced type of radiation therapy used to treat cancer and noncancerous tumors. IMRT uses advanced technology to manipulate beams of radiation to conform to the shape of a tumor.

Image-Guided Radiation Therapy (IGRT)
The goal of the IGRT process is to improve the accuracy of the radiation field placement, and to reduce the exposure of healthy tissue during radiation treatment.

Stereotactic Radiosurgery (SRS)
Stereotactic radiosurgery (SRS) is a form of radiation therapy that focuses high-power energy on a small area of the body. Despite its name, radiosurgery is a treatment, not a surgical procedure. Incisions (cuts) are not made on your body.

Stereotactic Body Radiation Therapy (SRS/SBRT)
Stereotactic Body Radiation Therapy (SBRT) is a treatment procedure that is used for tumors outside of the central nervous system.  SBRT delivers high dose radiation to a target within the body, in either a single treatment session or up to approximately five treatment sessions.

High Dose Radiation Therapy (HDR)
High-dose rate (HDR) radiation therapy is a form of brachytherapy, or internal radiation therapy, that involves the placement of a high-energy radiation source inside the body near the tumor for brief periods of time. HDR radiation therapy is usually performed as a short series of outpatient procedures. This form of Brachytherapy is commonly used as an effective treatment for cervical, prostate, and breast cancer and can also be used to treat tumors in many other body sites.

3D Conformal Radiation
Three-dimensional (3D) conformal radiation therapy is a technique where the beams of radiation used in treatment are shaped to match the tumor.
